(SAN DIEGO) Jan. 24, 2012 – Energy efficiency experts from Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) [NYSE: SAI] will present at the 2012 Association of Energy Services Professionals (AESP) National Conference and Expo, held Feb. 6-9 at the Hilton San Diego Bayfront.
AESP is a member-based association dedicated to improving the delivery and implementation of energy efficiency, energy management, and distributed renewable resources. Their conference will feature more than 60 sessions covering a range of current topics in program design, implementation, pricing, marketing, research, evaluation, and more.
SAIC presentations include:
Senior Engineer and Industrial Program Manager John Nicol will present “Lessons Learned in Impacting Industrial Energy Efficiency.” His presentation will discuss lessons learned and practical information on how to tackle the industrial market by understanding what similarities exist within “clusters” of similar types of manufacturing businesses. Nicol will also discuss the importance of partnering with local associations and building an effective sales team to meet the needs of the commercial and industrial markets.
Engineer Nate Altfeather will present “Retro‐commissioning for Compressed Air Systems: A Case Study for Customer Commitment‐Based Assessment Incentives.” He will discuss an industrial retrocommissioning program that incorporated customer implementation obligations in order to capture savings from a study and justify higher, more impactful incentives. Altfeather will also explain the design of the incentive, walk through the details of each completed study and accompanying projects, share lessons learned during the pilot, and discuss how this approach can be expanded beyond compressed air.
