George Kirby and Matthew Dorogi Join SAIC to Advance Transaction Support for Energy Assets



(McLEAN, Va.) Feb. 22, 2012 – SAIC Energy, Environment & Infrastructure, LLC, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC), announced today that George Kirby, P.E. and Matthew Dorogi, Ph.D. joined its Energy Consulting & Engineering operation as managing director and director, respectively. Kirby and Dorogi will support SAIC’s independent engineering and renewable energy services from the company’s Framingham, Mass. office.

Kirby is an energy expert with 20-years of business and project development experience in power generation and delivery. His portfolio includes project finance and development, risk management, project and construction management, product sales and marketing, product development, and technical management. Kirby was previously a global business leader at American Superconductor, and before that a risk manager with GE Capital. His work in power generation includes traditional fossil and renewable power plant development, due diligence and construction management, profitability and risk assessments, and expertise in installation, operations, and maintenance. Kirby has worked with a variety of customers ranging from global utilities and independent power producers to developers and constructors. He will provide asset transaction services and will pursue global business development opportunities for SAIC.

Dorogi has more than 18 years of technology and manufacturing experience in the solar and semiconductor industries. His prior work experience includes technology commercialization and product management roles at a number of companies, including Applied Materials, Corning’s Photovoltaic Glass Technologies, and Veeco Solar. His work in renewables includes capital equipment development, due diligence, and project management. As senior project manager, Dorogi will provide independent engineering services, technology and module bankability reviews, construction monitoring, and due diligence on multiple projects in the renewable energy field, including both manufacturing scale-up and power generation.
